CFL
CFL ballast are electronic devices that are used for compact fluorescent lamps. They contain a small circuit board with rectifiers, capacitor, and transistors. The two types of CFL lamps are 2-pin (bi-pin) and 4-pin (quad-pin)
- 2-pin (bi-pin) - Designed for convention or traditional ballast. It includes an integrated starter, which eliminates the need for an external heating pin. These are NOT compatible with electronic ballasts.
- 4-pin (quad-pin) - More suited for either electronic or magnetic ballast with an external starter.
