As the new maintenance man, you realize there is no backup lighting in your buildings outdoor areas. The second a power failure occurs, personnel will be trapped inside without light to guide them, not to mention you'll lose your job. Luckily the answer to all your problems lies in a little red metal box, better known as the 2 bulb wet location emergency ballast.
Built by Philips Bodine, an industry leader in emergency battery packs, the B4CF2P works one or two lamps at a slightly reduced lumen output for up 90 minutes. When electricity is restored, the B4CF2P goes to sleep and re-initiates your fixtures AC ballast. Why buy another light when you can just turn your CFL or T5 fluorescent light into an emergency unit?
The B4CF2P emergency battery pack can be affixed to the top of or inside the luminaire for increased protection. The water resistant case and insulated electronics allows this ballast the virtuosity of operating outdoors and in wash down areas.
This fluorescent lamp emergency ballast has an unfinished cast aluminum case that weighs roughly 3 lbs. It has a reduced profile and two closed-toed mounting feet on either end that fits most standard 2 or 4 foot luminaries. Several lead wires protrude from the side of the ballast to allow lamp and circuit connections to be made.
