Product Description

The Mathletes at your high school are competing with a rival school when suddenly, POOF! The lights pop off and the auditorium goes pitch dark. The once-friendly competition turns to pandemonium as students and parents start throwing punches and stampede over each other. This carnage could have been avoided with the 650 lumen 2-pin compact fluorescent emergency operation ballast.

Developed by Philips Bodine, the B463 contains a maintenance-free nickel cadmium battery rated for a 90-minute runtime. The Ni-Cd cell supplies the necessary voltage to keep your auditoriums 2-pin compact fluorescent foot lights on during a power failure. It will lay a sufficient 300 to 650 lumen surface illumination on your aisleways, and prevent panic among the parents and faculty.

When installed within an emergency-only light, no AC ballast will be required.

External Specifications

The B463 has a 20-gauge steel housing that is factory-finished with a shiny red powder coating. This coating is tightly bonded to the substrate so it will not bubble or flake in high temperatures, nor will it allow moisture to seep into the steel. This protection against rust makes it applicable inside vapor tight and gasket-sealed fixtures.
