The B30RCT from Philips Bodine is a fluorescent emergency ballast that is the best solution for mixing emergency lighting with normal building fixtures. In power failure situation, the B30RCT at once turns to the emergency mode, working one or two lamps at a high lumen output for at least 90 minutes.
During AC power failure, the emergency ballast senses a power failure amd switches over to emergency mode. When electricity returns, the B30RCT returns to the charging mode.
Depending on the installed fixture, safety or maintenance personnel can check this emergency battery pack using a handheld remote control transmitter. This remote testing controller features a reset option that prevents accidental starting of the battery during this diagnostic. This ballast is supplied with a single-pole test switch for manual testing as well.
This compact fluorescent emergency ballast has an unfinished cast aluminum case that weighs in at less than 9 lbs. It has a compact profile with two mounting feet on either end that fits most standard 2 or 4 foot luminaries. The ballast also includes an LED-charging indicator that can be installed to the body of the fixture for continuous battery readiness, per UL 924 code.
