Your recital hall was plunged into darkness for several minutes during a power outage, and now the parents are pointing fingers at your management. Get them off your back with the compact fluorescent 1 bulb emergency ballast, a backup device that keeps your CFLs burning bright during such power losses.
Bodine's B84CG contains a maintenance-free nickel cadmium battery that does not require periodic top-offs like older, heavier SLA emergency cells. It also features a patented time-delay circuit and voltage sensors to keep the device from switching-on during brief power hiccups in the grid. It is specification grade, so the rated wattages, lamp types and lumen output are tested to ANSI standards.
This spec grade emergency ballast can hook up to any facility with a 120 or 277vAC circuit found in most theaters, rehearsal spaces and recital halls. It works in conjunction with the compact fluorescent or circline fixture's normal AC transformer. It is fully compatible with most dimmable, magnetic or solid-state line voltage ballasts.
The B84CG is not ideal near air handling spaces that get colder than 32°F, but it is UL Listed for Damp Locations which receive some humidity. This emergency ballasts circuitry is protected by a 22-gauge sheet metal housing applied with a red corrosion-resistant enamel finish. The unit includes 2-feet of flexible electrical conduit for added protection in damp locations.
