Is your cruise ship or passenger liner ready for the high seas this winter? Just like businesses ashore, cruise liners need emergency backup fixtures when the steam room goes kaput. Why buy expensive emergency lights, distracting from your ornate passageways, when you can install a few UFO-RP2 model emergency fluorescent/cfl ballasts?
Dual Lites low profile fluorescent emergency battery packs work with your current line voltage ballasts, found in all recessed fluorescent lights, to create the perfect hybrid unit! Should the power plant go down, your passageways will remain well lit with an impressive 700-lumen beam spread to allow travelers safe passage to the upper decks.
Rigging your luminaires with the UFO-RP2 will keep a single lamp during a power outage, when the other lights go out. This single bulb will maintain a flicker-free 700-lumens of floor coverage, providing up to a 10-foot radius of adequate emergency illumination on either side of the lighting cone.
This adaptable emergency battery pack has an unfinished galvanized steel case that weighs in at only 2 lbs. The galvanization process protects the steel from heavy moisture, sea spray and temperatures shifts that would normally corrode unprotected steel. This ads to the units damp location characteristics and UL Listing. The RP2 includes a sealed LED test switch/charging indicator that can be placed onto the exposed light fixture for easy testing of the battery.
During normal hours, AC power will flow through the fixtures AC ballast, trickle charging the UFO-RP2s internal nickel cadmium battery. If power is interrupted, patented end-of-lamp-life (EOL) circuits will delay the battery for 3 seconds to prevent burnout of the bulbs due to false tripping. Dual Lites reduced profile fluorescent emergency battery pack will operate a single 2 foot or 4 foot T8, T10 or T12 (14-54W) linear fluorescent, long and short CFLs (32W) and U-shape T8 lamps (between 24-32W).
