Our Fulham Brand Ballast Kit operates metal halide fixtures and comes complete with mounting bracket, wet capacitor, ignitor, in addition to a magnetic ballast.
The mounting bracket for the HH-MH-Q4-175-W-E1 model allows for simple and airtight installation into any HPS lighting fixture. The wet capacitor (dielectric oil filled) works to improve the lamp’s input power factor. The ignitor breaks down the lamp’s gas by providing a series of high voltage pulses to start lumination.
Constructed from an excellent grade of electrical steel, the ballast operates ED17 (Edison Base) bulbs, which are usually installed for retrofit applications. Probe start method allows for lamp electrodes to be fully heated before supplying necessary wattage. It also runs at a high factor of 90 percent. Ballast factor is important when determining the number of units to install while building an electrical system for your project. It’s also great because in effect it leads to lower energy consumption.
Great for installing in High Pressure Sodium lamps fixtures that serve as area lighting like: wallpacks, stadium, or parking lot. Mounting bracket allows airtight installation of this compact sized device in the congested area of the luminaire.
Built in electrical steel for the purpose of increasing resistance to corrosion or rust, this “lead style ballast” features 120/277 line input voltage (4-Tap) outlets.
This magnetic ballast operates with input line voltage of 120/277 (four tap) and works best with 175-watt high-pressure sodium lamps.
High Pressure Sodium lamps are considered to be the most Omni-present lamp around. To perform at the maximum capability, they require proper installation and electrical power.
