Our Hatch brand ballast operates 4 pin compact fluorescent lamps while demonstrating a flicker free and reduced sound operation. It's great for wet locations and is oudoor rated for areas like: homes, hospitals, colleges and other commerical buildings.
These compact rapid start ballasts include mounting studs to make installation easy and will inherently ground the unit to prevent electrical shock to the user. Voltage is supplied to 1 4-pin CFLs via a 3-wire (blue, yellow, red) bottom feed bundle. All three wires are needed to operate dual lamp configurations, but the yellow connection can be omitted if you're only powering a single luminaire.
The FR1000L is UL 935 Listed and has surge protection capabilities in accordance with ANSI C62.41 for Category A locations. Cat A refers to any residential home where the ballast is located indoors and at least 30 feet away from the circuit breaker box. It contains no polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) material and can be disposed of normally at the end of the ballasts 10-15 year lifespan.

This ballast operates on 120VAC at a frequency of 60 Hz. Operating frequency of 50KHz gives a zero flicker operation. High power factor of 0.99 reduces the energy loss to minimum. Low current crest factor of less than 1.7 and extremely low harmonic distortion. The ballast consumes the current as low as 0.11A giving highest efficiency.
