The capacitor, which works to improve the lamp’s input power factor, comes either wet (dielectric oil-filled) or dry depending on the customer’s choice. The bracket allows for simple and safe installation into the HPS luminaire. The ignitor breaks down the lamp’s gas by providing a series of high voltage pulses to start lumination.
Constructed from an excellent grade of silicone steel, this “coiled” ballast runs at a high factor of 90%. The ballast factor is important when determining the number of lighting units to consider while building a electrical system for your project, which helps to lower energy consumption and bills. This “Lead Circuit Ballast” is ideal for outdoor lamp fixtures such as: municipal, parking lot, backyard, or recreation area lighting.
