One of your tenants tries to park his car in the underground garage where you've neglected to address some burnt out HID canopy lights. He crashes his expensive beamer into the side wall due to the dim lighting, and now he's threatening to call your property management company. Its time to replace those worn out transformers with the 20 watt Nano electronic HID ballast.
Hatch's MC20-1-F-120X is operates a single 20W metal halide bulb and has a very impressive ignition failure shutdown feature that automatically starts up the lamp if there is a brief power loss. It also features several other safety features which are all controlled by a central "brain", otherwise known as a solid state microprocessor controller. This way you'll avoid a lawsuit and save on energy costs!
This electronic metal halide ballast features microprocessor-controlled surge protection capabilities in accordance with ANSI C62.41 (Cat A) so it will shut down when voltage overload reaches a certain point. It is best to situate this MH transformer at least 30 feet away from the circuit breaker box to maximize its transient prevention qualities.
The ballast has a strong metal casing that measures less than four inches from end-to-end (not including the feet) and features 8" input/output leads that protrude from one side of the unit. The mounting feet will allow you full installation versatility, with the ability to mount directly to the canopy light or within a ceiling recess.
