The MC39-1-J-277X model is a micro processor controlled device featuring: a safety and low voltage lamp shutdown feature and hot lamp restrike attribute. Although it’s an electronic ballast, it operates metal halide lamps M130 Ceramic at 39 Watts.
Another great benefit of using this device is the ignition failure protection shutdown feature, which detects faulty circuits. It triggers in 5 seconds and is then followed by multiple timed re-strikes until the power is reset. The timing of the re-strikes depends primarily on the lamp wattage dependency.

Application
The MC39-1-J-277X ballast can be mounted X-Nano style with the (j-bottom) studs’ configuration. With open circuitry form its wires are equipped with a short-circuit protection. It has surge protection capabilities, which are in accordance with ANSI C62.41 for Category A locations, which refer to any residential home where the ballast is located indoors and at least 25 feet away from the circuit breaker box.
