The MC70-1-F-UNNU uses solid state circuitry instead of heavy core-coil transformers so it is very lightweight and will not overheat. A microprocessor regulates the lamp wattage and offers several safeguard features including earth fault, power failure, sudden shutdown, thermal and transient protection.

Application
The MC70-1-F-UNNU ballast is a mini-case device that can be mounted easily with "Feet" configuration. With open circuitry form its wires are equipped with a short-circuit protection. It has surge protection capabilities, which are in accordance with ANSI C62.41 for Category A locations, which refer to any residential home where the ballast is located indoors and at least 25 feet away from the circuit breaker box.
