So a couple of the HID highbays in your school basketball court are dimming down, and the old metal halide fixtures will only take analog core and coil ballasts. As the head of the custodial department , its your job to get them up and running before the next game. What you need is the 1000W standard metal halide ballast kit from Keystone - the all in one solution thats going to win the game!
Keystone's 1000-watt magnetic ballast is specified for M47 or H36 ANSI lamp codes and has 5 input taps for either 120, 208,240,277 or 480 line voltages. The MH-1000A-P-KIT includes a wet capacitor and mounting hardware to make replacement simple.
The MH-1000A-P-KIT includes everything you need to illuminate your basketball court, PE field or gymnasium. Because this 5-tap core-coil HID ballast has a wide range of voltages, it can be used in nearly any school or facility that needs a lot of light. Mounting hardware will make it easy to attach the case inside your metal halide luminaries or transformer box.
The ballast case is made of steel, laminated with a thin layer of silicone which protects the steel from moisture and corrosion. Four 0.25" diameter mounting holes on the face allow for attachment to your light fixture or transformer box using the supplied bolts and mounting brackets. The constant wattage autotransformer (CWA) coil is made of tightly spun aluminum wires used to modulate the current inflow.
The CWA core regulates high-intensity MH lamps better than any HX-HPF and reactor type ballasts on the market. The included wet capacitor stores excess wattage not used by the lamp and cycles it back into the core, further increasing lamp efficiency. Five lead wires within the CWA core allow for any line voltage connection between 120-480V.
