Imagine the frustration you’d feel if the lights in your auto repair facility were to go out - on a cold winter morning no less. Not only would you be in the dark, but so would your employees and customers. If there were only a way to avoid this potential temporary setback while ensuring the safety of everyone...
Our XEB-5-B-LM ballast provides emergency power (wattage, voltage and frequency) to fluorescent lighting fixtures during an unexpected situation like electrical failure. Constructed in a solid state steel case, this ballast is fully operable with linear (T5, T8, T10, T12, circline and U-shape) and CFL (2-pin, 4-pin and long compact) lamps. The emergency mode is activated instantly once the building's power has failed During this time, the ballast will sent power to one of the each fixtures fluorescent tubes for approximately 90 minutes. This emergency ballast has the ability to start up in sub temperatures (0 to -50°F), which is great for garages and facilities particularly in damp locations.
Included with the ballast, comes a maintenance-free Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) battery, which has a 24-hour recharge time.
This unique ballast can be mounted either on the top of the fluorescent lamp or through its electrical enclosure. It’s U.L. Listed for retrofit or factory installation. Also has capability to be mounted remotely by battery pack, as long as the distance doesn’t exceed ½ the distance between ballast and lamp.
Built in a painted steel case, the XEB-5-B-LM model not only can be used as an emergency mode but also for normal operation. Includes a battery, charger and electronic circuit.
