It's suprise inpection day. OSHA has just pulled into your restaurant and later checks the back where the kitchen and other scullery areas critically needs emergency lighting. You were intending to purchase some, however, the price of damp-location rated emergency fixtures are not necessarily in your budget and to install them you'll have to tear out a whole section of wall tiles. But did you know you can transform your current vaporproof T8 or T12 luminaires into emergency lighting with one simple addition? Its true with the 650 lumen 1 bulb emergency ballast.
Developed by the lumiere maestros of Beghelli Inc., LUCE-7 is a UL Listed steel battery pack with patented circuit-switching technology, coupled with a sealed nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery. Just connect it to any normal 120 or 277-volt AC fluorescent ballast and voila! Your kitchen is now fully compliant. If you're installing close to the scullery or other high-humidity space, select the Damp Location option by phoning us directly at 800.887.9957.
Our LUCE-7 is specially made for compact fluorescent (4-pin) units between 10-42 watts. This emergency battery unit may be installed in buildings during the build phase or as a retrofit unit. Before installation, check that your current unit is supplied with a conduit or ballast cover, otherwise, these options can be custom ordered.
The LUCE-7 has a standard fluorescent ballast profile with a durable steel housing. The unit has a white baked-on enamel finish that repels corrosion. Input and output leads protrude from one end and the unit includes mounting feet for fixture attachment.
